Details

YellowKorner was created in 2005 by two passionate amateurs of art photography, eager to make this art more accessible to the general public. The founders want to re-create the connection between the world’s most talented young photographers and the appreciative audience of photography, by letting them discover original photographic works, also by highlighting the wide variety of styles and approaches within contemporary photography, trigger some curiosity and even invite the most passionate to start an art collection.

YellowKorner makes photographic art accessible to a larger audience by exhibiting its works and its artists in a large network of selected stores in France, in Europe, on its website and in its own galleries in Paris, Brussels, Koln and New York.

The YellowKorner concept is very simple: to introduce the greatest photographers from all over the world and to make their work more accessible to new collectors. So, instead of offering 30 prints at $ 5,000, YellowKorner chooses to publish 500 at $ 300.

All YellowKorner photographs are C-prints produced by a renowned professional laboratory, numbered and supplied with a certificate of authenticity under the artist's watchful eye. YellowKorner pays great attention to the development of the prints so that the power of the photograph and all the richness of the artist's work are captured. With the artist's consent, the same photograph is available in one or several formats (8"x12", 16"x20", 36"x24" , 60"x40" and 71"x48") with a finish proof agreed by the artist. Each format has its own corresponding limit (open edition, limited editions with 30, 80, 150, 200 or 500 copies).

Jul 18th - Jul 31st Spotlight On French Photography

Spotlight On French Photography

To celebrate Bastille Day, YellowKorner is putting a spotlight on French photography. The holiday commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 and the beginning of the human rights and individual liberties. Louis Daguerre invented photography 50 years later in 1839. Since then, numerous talents have emerged within this art form that remains today one of France’s great assets, exemplified by the world-renowned Rencontres d’Arles Festival. The French photographers Matthieu Ricard, Franck Bohbot and Guillaume Girardot use photography as a means of expression and escape. Their respective approaches oscillate between exploration and contemplation, and you'll find their photographs in numbered limited edition now through July 31.

Jul 24th - Aug 15th From The Sky

From The Sky

YellowKorner is pleased to unveil a selection of photographs showing a bird’s eye view of human life in urban and natural environments. The thrilling perspectives chosen by the artists play on scale, enabling us to rediscover the diversity of our planet, as Richard Hirst, Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Laurent Dequick take to the sky to show the striking landscapes below. Find their photographs in numbered limited editions in the gallery for a limited time.
